What is Dyslexia?
Dyslexia is a language based learning disability that is neurobiological in origin. It is characterized by difficulties with accurate and fluent word recognition and by poor spelling and decoding abilities.
About Us
The Orton-Gillingham Center of Charleston (OGCC) was established in 2018 by Charleston leaders seeking change in the way dyslexic learners are taught to read. We are committed to elevating the Orton-Gillingham approach in the lowcountry by training more professionals and ensuring completion of the accreditation process with The Orton-Gillingham Academy.
